The Neil Simpson Plant was the third of four (4) power plants that were awarded to Independence Demolition. All four plants included complete environmental decommissioning, demolition, removal and site restoration.

This site specifically included demolition of approximately 1,950 GT of structures and equipment. The environmental scope of work included asbestos abatement, removal of all universal wastes and fly ash / coal residuals, lead & mercury abatement, a 10,000 gallon fuel oil above ground tank, and draining of all oils. Final site restoration included fill placement for all site pits and basements.
